Quay Diagnostics is a new private radiology partnership working out of the BMI Harbour Hospital in Poole.
The practise of radiology has changed radically over the past few years. Not only have we witnessed the maturing of technologies such as CT, MRI and ultrasound but we have also seen great advances in IT such as PACS (digital X-rays) and teleradiology. We no longer sit in dark rooms peering at X-rays and waiting for the typist to finish our reports but with multi-monitor workstations and voice recognition technology, reports on complex imaging can be available immediately.
By the same token, radiology has become very challenging. It is impossible for an individual radiologist to provide the level of expertise you and your patients expect across all imaging modalities and every body system. Recognising our individual limitations, we have formed Quay Diagnostics to take a team approach exploiting each radiologist’s strengths and, with the help of all the tools we have at our disposal, providing a private radiology service that is both efficient and accurate.
